Conference Overview

After the success of the 2010 conference which looked at fostering a new framework towards best management of public sector assets, Milla SA is looking forward to the 2011 conference which will focus on sustainable reporting of assets, utilisation, restructuring and investment. Focus will be on using different vehicles such as Social Security Funds, Investment Funds and Stakeholders from both the Public and private sector to bridge the infrastructure gap and build an asset base that will cater for the growing population. Where do we see ourselves in 2030 with the current shortages of assets, the growing population, power , water, food and agriculture, transportation and housing shortages and what are we doing to bridge the asset gap margin? Is it time when political risk should interfere with long term infrastructure investments? How do we build an asset base in changing political climates or build rural infrastructure through rural interface?
