Dr. Abimbola Olukemi Windapo
Senior Lecturer at the Department of Construction Economics and Management

Abimbola Windapo is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Construction Economics and Management, University of Cape Town, South Africa. She has practiced in, researched into, written and lectured on statutory regulations, legal requirements and procurement practices; building and construction technology; sustainable construction materials, projects and contracting enterprises; and construction data, information gathering and analysis for more than twenty four years. She gained necessary practical experience upon graduation at Bouygues (Nig) Ltd (BNL) a multi-national Building and Civil Engineering Company where she worked for more than ten years. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Building (FNIOB) and a practicing member of the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).
 



Prof. Paul Bowen
Professor in the Department of Construction Economics and Management

PA Bowen is a Professor in the Department of Construction Economics and Management at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He qualified cum laude with a BSc(QS) degree in 1975, obtained his MSc in 1980, and was awarded his PhD in 1993. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree. 

He is a nationally-rated researcher and a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa. His professional and academic experience relating to the construction industry has resulted in more than 125 publications. He serves on the editorial/technical advisory boards of a number of international refereed journals. In addition to his academic activities, he has served on the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession, was Chairman of the Quantity Surveying Standards Generating Body, and is the Chair of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors MENEA Region ESB. He serves as an assessor for the Engineering and Physical Science research Council (UK), the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong, and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

His research interests include project procurement, project briefing as an interpersonal communication process, the sustainability assessment of buildings, and wellness in construction.
